The Thirteen Club Enamel Pin

$13.00

The Thirteen Club founded in 1881 by William Fowler was created to dispel the superstitions surrounding the number “13”. The members of the supper club always had 13 course menus, 13 members at a table, and would engage in as many “unlucky” activities as possible. Walking under ladders, mirror-smashing, salt-spilling, and even included several US Presidents as members such as Grover Cleveland and Theodore Roosevelt. This 2” soft enamel pin is a design based on one of the club’s dinner settings (image #4). The Latin phrase states, “We who are about to die, salute you” with a featured skull and bones and the Roman Numeral 13. A must-have for any history occult lover!
